Jeep Hard Top Storage

I've always dreaded removing the top of Ol' Blue since it takes two people and some where to store it. I found the solution on the web at stu-offroad.com. Instead of using the 2x4 method, I just screwed some eye bolts into the ceiling joists and proceeded to go about following his lead utilizing straps to lift and support.

Once I got the eye bolts in place, I removed the spare tire, hi-lift jack and cb antenna. Then backed into the garage and got as close to the wall as I could. Then after unbolting the top, I lifted one corner at a time to hook the strap, and then started pulling on the straps.

Before I knew it, the top was off and over my head! I have 10' ceilings so it is pretty much out of the way. But I am 6'4" and still manage to hit my head on it when I least expect it.
